Reverse Lights: See Clearer, Back Up Safer with Powerful LED

Backup lights may be the most overlooked category of vehicle lighting, but they definitely deserve more love. A good backup light gives you more and better rear visibility when backing up, giving you a much clearer picture of what's behind you and your vehicle. This dramatically increases safety, both for you and those around you. A powerful backup light turns a dark and unsafe garage driveway into a lit and safe zone.

In addition, we have several advanced reversing lights with built-in flash light function that you can use to effectively warn and communicate with your fellow road users when, for example, loading or working at the roadside.

Why a brighter backup light is one of the best safety upgrades

Original equipment reversing lights are often designed to meet a minimum standard: to show others that you are reversing. They are rarely designed to actually illuminate the area behind you effectively. Investing in a powerful LED reversing light is therefore a direct investment in your safety and comfort.

See obstacles, children, pets or curbs that were previously hidden in the dark. A bright reversing light illuminates the entire area behind the car, not just a small spot. A modern car with a reversing camera depends on good light. In the dark, the image often becomes grainy and unusable. A bright LED reversing light allows your reversing camera to perform at its best and give you a razor-sharp image, even on the darkest night. Parking or reversing with a trailer in the dark can be a stressful experience. With a properly lit environment, maneuvering becomes calmer, easier and safer.

For commercial vehicles, good reversing lights are a must. They create a safer working environment around the vehicle and, with additional features such as warning lights, can effectively warn others when loading and unloading.

How to choose the right reversing light for your needs

The choice of reversing lights depends on your vehicle and what you want to achieve. There are two main ways to go:

Option 1: Upgrade existing lights to LED

This is the simplest and most discreet solution for passenger cars. You simply replace your existing light bulbs with modern, much brighter LED bulbs with the same socket.

How do I find the right bulb? Find out which bulb socket you have in your reversing light (common types are BA15s, T15/W16W, T20/W21W). Having trouble finding it? Contact our support for further assistance. https://xenonkungen.com/kontakt-support/

Things to consider: On newer cars with light monitoring (CANbus), you may need a CANBUS resistor to avoid error codes.

Option 2: Install an external, additional reversing light

This is the most powerful solution and is perfect for vans, pickups, trucks and anyone who wants maximum light. Here one or more dedicated LED lights are mounted, usually under the bumper or in a suitable location on the frame.

The advantage: You can get a huge light output, often several thousand lumens, which completely transforms rear visibility. These lights are usually the same type as our smallest and most compact LED work lights.

Installation: The lamp is usually connected to the car's existing reverse light signal via a relay wiring harness for a safe and stable power supply.
