A dark country road and loading at the car place different demands on the lighting. If the same vehicle is also to be used in work where warning lights are needed, there is an additional function to plan. The guide compares Twilight, Stellar Dynamic, Pro Noir and OptiFlux based on the different tasks, so that you can choose the right function before comparing models and designs.

| Luxtar series | Task | Compare before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Twilight | Additional high beam in ramp format | Light image, effect mode and location of the ramp |
| Stellar Dynamic | Extra high beam in round headlights | Lighting and location for the entire set |
| Pro Noir WL60/WL90 | Workspace lighting | Light distribution, placement and power requirements |
| OptiFlux | Targeted orange warning feature | Permitted use, placement and control |
Luxtar Twilight 300W is an LED ramp with Driving light pattern for light forward and out towards the edges of the road. The lamp housing is 508 mm long, 45 mm high and 65 mm deep. The low format can be interesting where height is limited, but also allow for space for brackets, connections and other car equipment.
Twilight has different power modes. The product specification states 1 lux at 794 meters for full power and 1 lux at 430 meters for the R112 mode. The values therefore describe different conditions. Compare the correct mode and the entire light pattern, so that the longest range figure is not the only thing that determines the choice.
Luxtar Stellar Dynamic 9 inch is a round option with a Driving light pattern. If you are choosing between Stellar and Twilight, you will need to both compare the light pattern and measure how the lights or ramp can be placed on the vehicle. Multiple round lights require space for the entire set and its attachment.
Stellar also has position lights in white or orange with animated start-up. This is a separate function from the additional high beam. If you want to read more about the versions and another round option, you can go to our overview of Stellar Dynamic and Lazer Sentinel.
If you first need to determine which light is missing while driving, this will help the lighting guide for the car You need to distinguish the need for better low beam from extra high beam.
Luxtar Pro Noir WL60 Curved and WL90 Curved are work lights with a wide flood light pattern. They are relevant when you need to illuminate, for example, a loading area or a work area next to the vehicle.
The WL60 is listed at 4,760 actual lumens and the WL90 at 7,800. Both are listed with a 120 degree spread, but the lumen count alone does not indicate how the light is distributed on the work surface. Also compare the light pattern, mounting space and power requirements for the current installation.
When loading through the rear doors, the light needs to reach both the ground and what you are handling. Therefore, assess the placement with the doors open and with people at the car. In the guide on work lights for the service vehicle We will delve deeper into how workspaces, shading and direction affect the choice.
Luxtar OptiFlux Amber 6 LED is a directional orange warning light for surface mounting. Multiple units can be synchronized. This helps you plan a common flashing sequence, but the placement still needs to be assessed so that the light is not obscured by, for example, doors or cargo.
The warning light is intended to alert others to the vehicle and the situation. It does not replace the work light that illuminates what you are doing. The Swedish Transport Agency rules on the use of warning lights limits when the warning function may be used.
OptiFlux also has a Cruise Light function with a fixed light. The presence of the function does not in itself mean that it may be used in the same way as the hazard warning light. Check the approval, installation and use for the function you intend to connect.
Auxiliary lights, work lights and hazard warning lights need to be controlled for their respective tasks. Decide which functions will follow the main beam and which need separate control before you select wiring and controls.
A solution for the high beam signal, such as XBB when it supports the car and its equipment, is part of the installation. The lamps still need the right power supply, wiring and fuse. Our guide to installing additional lights explains how control signal and power supply are related.
Please include the vehicle model, equipment variant and pictures of the intended mounting locations when you ask us for help. Also describe whether you want to improve the light while driving, loading or other work, and we can help you choose a combination that suits the task.
