Lamp holders and adapters for low beam and high beam – make LED lights with a different base construction fits correctly in your headlight. Many cars, especially European models, have unique bulb holder mounts that require a model-specific adapter for the LED bulb to lock in properly and provide the correct light pattern.
When converting from halogen to LED, the base of the LED bulb may have a different shape or locking mechanism than the original bulb. Without the right adapter, the bulb will sit loosely, vibrate, and produce an incorrect light pattern that can dazzle oncoming traffic. A model-specific bulb holder solves this problem – it clicks into the original headlight bracket and holds the LED bulb in exactly the right position.
Find the right lamp holder
Bulb holders are car model specific. The same socket (e.g. H7) can have different physical mounts depending on the car make and model. Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes and Audi often use unique adapter systems. We state in each product specification exactly which car models the adapter fits.
The OSRAM LEDriving series comes with a selection of adapters in the box that cover the most common car models. If your car is not among the adapters included, you may need a separate adapter.
