T20

LED T20 bulbs (W21W/7440 and W21/5W/7443) – wedge base bulb used in turn signals, brake lights and reverse lights on newer cars. T20 is the modern replacement for BA15S/BAY15D in many Japanese and Korean cars as well as new European models. CANbus compatible variants. Available in amber, white and red.

T20

T20 base – single filament and double filament

T20 W21W (7440) are single filament and are used in turn signals and reversing lights – one function per lamp. T20 W21/5W (7443) is double filament for combined brake and tail light – just like BAY15D but with wedge socket. Check which type your car has.

Common in newer cars

T20 has become increasingly common since the 2010s, especially in Japanese (Toyota, Honda, Mazda) and Korean (Hyundai, Kia) cars. Several European manufacturers have also switched to T20 in their latest models. The socket is pressed into the bracket with a twisting motion.
