4 | Car Wax & Paint Protection

Paint protection such as wax, sealant and ceramic coatings to protect your car's paint against UV, salt, bird droppings and road salt. Paint protection adds an invisible layer on top of the paint that makes the surface water-repellent and easier to keep clean. Always apply after polishing for best results.

4 | Car Wax & Paint Protection

Wax, sealer or ceramic protection?

There are three main types of paint protection and they differ in durability, application and price.

Car wax (carnauba or synthetic) is the classic option. It gives a warm, deep shimmer and is easy to apply by hand. Durability varies from a few weeks to a couple of months. Perfect for those who enjoy waxing their car regularly and appreciate the process.

SEAL (sealant) is a synthetic product that bonds more tightly to the paint and lasts longer – usually 3-6 months. It provides a clearer, more mirror-like shine compared to traditional wax. Applied in the same way as wax but requires a little more careful work.

Ceramic protection (ceramic coating) is the most durable solution. A professional ceramic treatment can last 2-5 years. The protection is extremely hard, water-repellent and resistant to chemicals. Requires careful preparation of the paint and is more difficult to apply.

Application

The paintwork must be completely clean and degreased before you apply paint protection. This means laundry, degreasing and if necessary polishingIf you apply paint protection to dirty or defective paint, you lock the problems under the protection.

Work in the shade, one panel at a time. Apply a thin layer, let it cure according to the instructions and buff off with a clean microfiber cloth.
