X20 Driving has a range of 1 Lux at approx. 510 metres which decreases to 0.25 Lux at approx. 720 metres and is also E-approved. Driving reflectors provide a wide and nice light image over the entire road and are the most popular choice of our LED ramp models.

X20 Spot has a considerably longer range of 1 Lux at 720 metres, about 40% difference. X20 Spot has a narrower beam pattern than Driving and is suitable for those who prioritise long range over a wide beam pattern.

Spot & Driving

Spot: Optimised for maximum reach, narrow light pattern. Suitable for those who prioritise the range of the light. The X20 Spot has a significantly longer range than the Driving with 1 Lux at 720 metres, which is a difference of approximately 40 %. The narrower beam pattern is more suitable for those travelling on long open motorways where range is of great importance.

Driving: Optimised for wide beam with reduced range. Also known as a long-range light pattern, it is suitable for those looking for a wide light for better side visibility (see image below). Luxtar X20 Driving performs 1 lux at 510 metres and 0.25 lux at 720 metres and is also E-approved.
