From January 1, 2026 The V16 warning light is mandatory in Spain. It replaces the classic warning triangle and allows you to warn other road users without you having to leave the vehicle.

This V16 IoT lamp is DGT 3.0 certified and connected directly to Spain's official traffic system. When the light is activated, the vehicle's position is sent anonymously and in real time to the DGT, increasing safety in the event of accidents and downtime.

The lamp emits a powerful 360° flashing yellow light, visible up to 1,000 meters, and is designed to function in harsh weather conditions such as rain, snow and fog.

Usage & rules

• Mandatory for all drivers in Spain from 2026

• Also applies to drivers from other countries driving in Spain

• The driver does not need to get out of the car in the event of an accident or breakdown

• The lamp signals the vehicle's position digitally to DGT 3.0

• Visible warning up to 1 km

• Replaces not contact with police, ambulance or rescue services
