Quick and tool-free connection with CAGE CLAMP®

The WAGO 221 is a compact and powerful connection terminal developed for easy electrical installations. With the smart lever function, you open the terminal, insert the conductor (11 mm stripping length) and fold the lever down again – done. No crimping or preparation of end sleeves is required.

The clamp can handle a rated voltage of up to 450 V and a current of up to 32 A, making it suitable even for installations with high loads. The proven CAGE CLAMP® technology provides a maintenance-free and secure connection for solid, stranded and fine-stranded copper conductors.

For all conductor types 0.2–4 mm²

Wago 221 is compatible with:

• Solid conductor: 0.2–4 mm² (24–12 AWG)
• Stranded wire: 0.2–4 mm² (24–12 AWG)
• Fine-stranded conductor: 0.14–4 mm² (24–12 AWG)

The transparent housing makes it easy to visually check for correct connection. The wide, flat levers are ergonomically designed and can be operated completely without tools.

Compact design for professional installations

Measuring 13.1 x 8.3 x 18.6 mm (W x H x D), the 221 series is significantly more compact than traditional top clamps. The levers lie flat against the housing when closed, allowing the clamp to fit even in tight junction boxes.

The product is rated for ambient temperatures up to 85°C (T85) and is intended for copper conductors. Some variants are approved for specific Ex applications (see data sheet).
