The main cable is the long trunk cable that runs from the vehicle's connector and back along the trailer frame. Lamp cables are shorter branches that connect each individual lamp or position light to the main cable via T-pieces. Both are available in different lengths to suit different trailer designs.
Main cables are typically available in 4, 6, 8 and 10 meters depending on the total length of the trailer. Lamp cables are often 1.2, 1.8 or 2.4 meters. Choose a length that fits the distance between the T-piece and the lamp without the cable having to be pulled taut or with unnecessary slack.
Our Plug n Play system mainly uses 5-pin and 6-pin connectors. Different manufacturers may have slight variations, so stick to the same series throughout the installation to ensure fit.
